A customer calls at 8:12 a.m. with a leaking water heater. By 8:20, one tech is already headed across town, another has the part needed, and the office is trying to remember who spoke with the customer last time. Small shops usually do not need GPS dots moving around a map all day. They need clear operational status. Is the technician on the way? Are they there? Is the call complete?

There is a trade-off. Text-based status works best when the team agrees on plain, consistent words.
