SMS Program & Messaging Policy
Effective August 4, 2026
CopyThat Dispatch Alerts is operated by CopyThatHQ Communications LLC. Messages are sent by CopyThat to field-service technicians who use the CopyThat platform. This page describes who receives them, how they consented, and how to stop.
CopyThat is the sender. Every message on this program identifies CopyThat and is sent by CopyThatHQ Communications LLC. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Who receives messages
Field-service technicians who are users of the CopyThat platform. A technician receives their job assignments, a morning summary of their day, a private link to their CopyThat schedule at app.copythathq.com, and two-way conversation with their dispatcher through the platform. Technicians reply with short keywords — OTW, HERE, DONE — to advance a job, or with free text to send their dispatcher a note.
This program does not send messages to consumers, and does not send messages on behalf of any third-party business. No marketing, promotional, or solicitation content is sent.
How consent is obtained
A technician is enrolled by their employer, who is a CopyThat subscriber. The employer adds the technician to their CopyThat account and enters their mobile number. At the point of entry the app requires the employer to confirm that the technician has agreed to receive dispatch texts, and displays: "Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
Consent arises from the employment or contractor relationship between the technician and their employer, and our Terms of Service require the employer to have obtained it before entering a number. A technician may reply STOP at any time, and is then suppressed everywhere — job assignments, morning summaries and dispatcher messages all stop.
Message frequency
Frequency varies with the work. A technician typically receives one message per job assigned to them, one morning summary on days they have work, and any messages their dispatcher sends during the day.
Sample messages
- CopyThat: New job: AC not cooling — 1420 Oak St, Tampa. Your day: https://app.copythathq.com/t/a8f3c91e Reply OTW when rolling.
- CopyThat: Good morning — 3 jobs today: 1) 8:00 AM AC not cooling 2) 11:00 AM No heat 3) 2:00 PM Thermostat swap Your day: https://app.copythathq.com/t/a8f3c91e Reply OTW when rolling on the first one.
- CopyThat dispatch: Customer says the gate code is 4412 — head around to the back unit when you get there.
- CopyThat: Next up: Thermostat swap — 12 Oak St. Reply OTW when rolling.
How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any message. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT all work the same way. You will receive one confirmation and then no further messages:
"You'll get no more texts from CopyThat dispatch. Reply START to resume."
To start receiving messages again, reply START or UNSTOP:
"You're subscribed to texts from CopyThat dispatch. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."
A technician who opts out stops receiving dispatch texts, which their employer is shown on the roster so nobody is left wondering why they have gone quiet.
How to get help
Reply HELP or INFO to any message and you will receive:
"CopyThat dispatch. For help, email hello@copythathq.com. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."
You can also email hello@copythathq.com directly. For anything about the work itself, your employer's office is the faster route.
Messages to a business's own customers
Some businesses using CopyThat also notify their own booked customers when a technician is on the way. Those messages are not part of this program and are not sent under CopyThat's registration. A business must register its own messaging brand and campaign with the mobile carriers, in its own legal name, before CopyThat will send any message to that business's customers. Until it does, the capability is disabled in the product and cannot be switched on from the app.
Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your device, and is not guaranteed.
Privacy
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information collected as part of this program is shared with any third party for that party's own marketing. Numbers are disclosed only to our messaging carrier, and only to transmit the message you are expecting. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
