They get a text with the job. They reply OTW. The board updates itself. No app, no login, no seat to buy. You run the board from the desk or the truck, and your shop sets it up in one afternoon. Free for 2 techs, no card. Automatic texting from $49 a month, flat — you are never charged per user.
Want the whole thing? Watch the 2-minute walkthrough — board, texts, pricing and why we built it.
Job details buried under memes. Two trucks at the same address. The customer's history living in somebody's head. You either run your day off a whiteboard nobody updates — or pay enterprise prices for software built for fifty trucks, not five.
The four texts: the job goes out, then OTW, HERE and DONE come back. That's it. CopyThat does dispatch and scheduling. Not invoicing, marketing, GPS fleet tracking, or "growth coaching." That's why you can set it up in an afternoon.
Type them in, or import from the spreadsheet you already have. Every job is a card: time window, customer, address, notes.
The moment a job lands on their column, the tech gets a text from your shop’s dispatch number. Job, address, notes. Done.
"OTW" marks them en route. "DONE" closes the job and sends over the next one. Anything else they type lands on the job as a note. Message received.
Your techs already know how to use CopyThat. It's texting.
Start free, with no card. Every tier — free included — runs the same board and the same tech pages. What you pay for is automatic texting, room for more techs, and texts that go out under your own shop's name. No per-user charges, no SMS overage fees, no setup fee, no contract.
Techs are not texted automatically on Free. You send each tech their link once from your own phone, and they keep it on their home screen. Automatic texting starts at $49.

Carriers require every business to register texting in its own name, so the two lines above switch on once your registration is approved — allow up to 2 weeks. Your board, import and tech texting are live the same afternoon.

First month back if it isn't for you. Email hello@copythathq.com within 30 days of your first charge and we refund that payment in full. No form, no call. The terms say the same thing.
Free is free up to 40 new jobs a month — at the cap, everything already on your board keeps working and new jobs open again the next month. Paid tiers have a published fair-use job ceiling — 900 jobs a month on Starter, 2,100 on Growth, 3,000 on Fleet — roughly twice what a shop your size actually runs, and never a surprise line item. Bigger than 10 trucks? Honestly — you've outgrown us, and we'll say so. That discipline is the product.
Prices below were checked on the vendors' public pricing pages (fetch dates in the sources below). A 5-tech shop is the comparison. Switching platforms? See the full Jobber, Housecall Pro, Workiz, and ServiceTitan comparisons — or the full pricing index with a cost calculator.

For a 2–10 truck shop, yes — and it's the point. Every tech already texts. There's no app to install, no password to reset in a parking lot, no update that breaks on the one phone that matters. If your workflow needs photos-per-line-item and custom forms, the app-based tools are genuinely better — and more expensive.
US carriers require A2P 10DLC registration for application-sent business texts (see Twilio's A2P 10DLC overview). There are two layers, and we'd rather be straight about both.
Texting your techs runs under CopyThat's own carrier registration. Nothing for you to file — your board, spreadsheet import, customer history and tech texting are live the same afternoon.
Texting your customers is different. Carriers require the business whose name appears in the message to be registered in that name — so a text that says "Marcus from A-1 Cooling is on the way" has to go out under A-1 Cooling's own registration, not ours. That's included on Growth and Fleet, and we file the paperwork for you, but it needs your legal business name, EIN and address, and carrier approval takes up to 2 weeks. Until it clears, customer texting stays switched off in the product rather than quietly failing at the carrier.
Always. Your customers export as CSV from the Customers page, and your jobs — every note included — from Job history. No row caps. If you outgrow us and move to a bigger platform, we'll even format the export for the switch. Your customer history is yours.
No — on purpose. You already have invoicing that works (QuickBooks, Wave, paper — we don't judge). CopyThat does dispatch and scheduling extremely well instead of eight things adequately.
A phone that can text. That's the whole requirement — no smartphone, no app, no login, no data plan. You add a tech by typing their name and cell number. On a paid plan their first job text arrives the moment you drag a job onto their column; on Free they open the private link you send them once and see the same job there.
You create an account with an email and password, confirm the email, name your shop and add your techs. That's it — no plan to pick and no card. The board is live as soon as you're through, free for 2 techs and 40 new jobs a month. Want to look around first? The demo runs in your browser, no account at all.
Two things, and neither is hidden. Nobody is texted automatically: you send each tech their link once, and they open it to see their day. And it stops at 2 techs and 40 new jobs a month. When either one gets in your way, automatic texting and more room start at $49 — and if you never get there, Free stays free.
No. The wait only covers texting your customers under your shop's own name, which is a Growth and Fleet feature. Starter doesn't text customers at all — and on every paid tier, your board and tech texting are live the same afternoon you sign up. (On Free the board is live the same way; techs work from their link and are not texted automatically.)
Month to month. Cancel in the app — not by calling a "retention specialist."
Then you get your first month back. Email hello@copythathq.com within 30 days of your first charge and we refund that payment in full and close the account. It covers the first payment, once per shop — after that it is month to month, cancel anytime. Export your data first: your dispatch number is released when the account closes.
I'm Travis. I've spent a lot of years in IT and cybersecurity in the service industry — long enough to watch good shops get sold software built for companies ten times their size, then pay per seat for the privilege.
I build a handful of products, all on the same rule: find a real problem, solve it, keep the tool small enough to trust. CopyThat is that rule applied to dispatch. One board, four texts, flat price. The cybersecurity years show up in the parts you don't see: how carefully your customer history is handled, and the fact that you can export every row of it, any day.
Not sure it fits your shop? Email me and you'll get a straight answer, even if the answer is "we're not it": hello@copythathq.com.

Name your shop, add your techs — the board is live today, free for 2 techs and no card. Or drag a job around the sample-shop demo first. You'll get it in about forty seconds.
